Job summary

Instacart is hiring a Director of Compensation to own the broad-based compensation strategy end-to-end. You will lead a team, shape equity design, advise leaders, and partner across HR, Finance and Legal to attract and retain talent as we expand in new markets.

You will guide executive offers, retention decisions and pay equity questions, while driving data-driven decisions and scaling compensation programs globally. This is a remoteCanada role offering market-leading pay.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of compensation experience with leadership responsibility.
• Directly supporting large R&D or Engineering functions at VP/SVP level.
• Deep equity compensation design and strategy experience.
• Experience building compensation programs at scale and data-driven recommendations.
• Strong spreadsheet and data manipulation skills.
• Interest in applying AI/tech to improve compensation work.

Responsibilities

• Own broad-based comp strategy end-to-end and partner with HR, Finance and Legal.
• Lead executive offers, retention decisions and pay equity considerations.
• Design and guide equity compensation programs and communication.
• Scale international expansion compensation work across new geographies.
