BMO is seeking a Senior Director to drive Asset-Based Lending growth in North America, focusing on business development and managing key client relationships. The role involves leading origination efforts, advising on financing structures, and coordinating with underwriting and portfolio teams to execute complex transactions.

The candidate will engage in a wide range of financing scenarios, including refinancings, mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings, while guiding strategic initiatives

Qualifikationen

• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field
• Credit qualifications and knowledge according to qualification standards (if Credit Qualifiable role)
• Demonstrated history of successful business development and networking in external markets
• Knowledge of relevant industry verticals and market competitive environment
• Experience in contract negotiations with clients and legal counsel
• Experience drafting responses to complex RFPs
• Experience with Sales Strategy and Sales referral processes
• Strong risk management, relationship management and change leadership capabilities

Aufgaben

• Originate and execute ABL growth initiatives in the region
• Develop and manage key client relationships and business development plans
• Provide strategic input to senior leaders on market opportunities and financing strategies
• Coordinate with underwriting and portfolio teams to ensure effective execution and risk control
• Lead pre-sales activities, including pitch preparation and client files for action
• Advise on originations strategy based on market and industry insights
• Mentor and train portfolio and underwriting teams on credit structuring and industry analysis
• Represent ABL in industry associations and external networks
