Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager within Commercial Banking to serve a portfolio of high-value Canadian middle-market clients, guiding them with strategic financial solutions and advisory insights.

You will lead business development, structure complex credit facilities, and collaborate with product, risk, and credit teams to deliver tailored financing and cash management services that drive growth.

Qualifications

4–7 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Relationship Management, Portfolio Management, or Business Development.
Proven success managing complex client relationships and delivering sales and revenue results.
Experience structuring, negotiating, and executing commercial lending transactions.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

Build and grow a portfolio of strategic commercial banking clients and develop trusted advisor relationships.
Drive proactive business development and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Structure and negotiate complex credit facilities and banking solutions; lead credit discussions.
Partner with product specialists, credit partners, risk teams, and senior leaders to deliver complete client solutions.
Deliver portfolio performance: monitor profitability, risk, and returns; prepare executive reporting.
Ensure regulatory compliance and robust risk management in all activities.
