Your opportunity:

The Strategic Communications and Marketing (SCM) team is responsible for supporting and building awareness around the full suite of non-credit, adult continuing education programs, courses, and services offered at SCS. Our team is energetic, dynamic, collaborative, and is guided by the strategic plan of the school. We work with all of SCS’s stakeholders including leadership, learners, instructors, UofT divisions and partners, and professional associations.

Under the general supervision of the Director, Strategic Communications and Marketing, you are responsible for developing a broad range of digital marketing tactics to support various linesof business and initiatives at SCS. You will be part of a team that is responsible for developing and advising on a broad range of marketing ideas/plans, communications and promotional approaches for the School of Continuing Studies that will enable continued growth and position the School to successfully compete in what is now an extremely competitive market.

This role is currently eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, pursuant to University policies and guidelines, including but not limited to theUniversity of Toronto’s Alternative Work Arrangements Guideline.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and developing an integrated multi-channel communications strategy independently
  • Developing and implementing digital communication campaigns and programs that support strategic objectives
  • Determining key performance indicators to measure success
  • Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making
  • Analyzing digital analytic report data
  • Monitoring accounts for a project and/or program

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in marketing or communications, with at least two (2) of those years within a postsecondary or industry/upskilling educational programs environment
  • Experience developing and implementing multichannel marketing plans to support business development and revenue-generating strategies and/or activities
  • Experience with search engine optimization to support multi-channel marketing that is linked to registration conversions
  • Experience with optimizing digital marketing tactics to drive revenue
  • Experience building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance and fostering and maintaining positive relationships with senior management to gain approval for strategies and plans
  • Experience advising on best practices and strategies to maximize digital communication initiatives
  • Experience determining smart KPIs for eblast campaigns and Google search campaigns, overseeing in-campaign performance, summarizing results, and making performance improvements for future campaigns
  • Experience developing and implementing social media operational procedures and best practices that support strategic objectives
  • Experience planning and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects, and monitoring expenses against the set budget
  • Experience compiling and analyzing data, preparing reports and other informational materials
  • Experience serving as a resource to others by providing (non-supervisory) job-related guidance
  • Ability to show sound judgement in dealing with confidential information well-informed on applicable copyright, access and privacy laws
