Job summary

RBC Capital Markets Technology (QTS) is seeking an experienced architect to drive SDLC transformation and enable Architecture as Code across the Capital Markets tech landscape. Based in Halifax or Toronto, you will partner with global teams to implement AIDLC capabilities and streamline deployment pipelines.

You will design and guide implementation of cloud-native patterns, containerized services, and modern DevOps practices, while aligning architecture with security, scalability, and resilience

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building horizontal technology solutions.
• Hands-on design and implementation experience with UI, backend, and cloud components.
• Proficient in HTML5, React, Angular, and Next.js.
• Experience with Java and Python backend services.
• Experience with Kubernetes and DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong architecture principles: resilience, scalability, security, extensibility.
• Strategic and critical thinking for architecture decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert in the SDLC.
• Lead transformation of SDLC into the AIDLC.
• Assist in implementing AIDLC capabilities.
• Define Architecture as Code standards and pipeline integration.
• Extend provisioning for poc, dev and test environments via AIDLC.
• Leverage AI to reduce SDLC toil.
• Drive adoption of the AIDLC across CM organization.
