Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a shift pattern from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide a comprehensive, confidential, efficient, high-quality, and timely secretarial and administrative service to Consultants, SpRs, radiographic staff, management, and nursing staff within South West Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Manage waiting lists and times to ensure compliance with radiology targets across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, particularly within the Radiology Service.
  • Offer advisory and troubleshooting support related to waiting lists, times, and rota issues within this specialist service.
  • Monitor administrative systems to achieve national and local targets, deliver activity, improve efficiency, and develop best practices.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management regarding waiting lists and performance metrics.

The role requires advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office, for manipulating data and producing reports to assess performance.
