Job summary

Cenovus Energy is seeking a Senior DCS Technologist to support Lloydminster refining and upgrading assets. You will work with DeltaV and Foxboro, troubleshooting issues, supporting commissioning, and contributing to major turnaround planning to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

The role requires 8+ years in instrumentation/DCS within Oil & Gas, with CSA B149.3 familiarity; relocation to Lloydminster area is expected as on-site work.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Instrumentation Technician or equivalent
• Experience with DeltaV and Foxboro DCS platforms in oil & gas
• Strong troubleshooting of process control and instrumentation systems

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for DCS systems (DeltaV/Foxboro)
• Lead commissioning, startup, and operational readiness for capital projects and turnarounds
• Develop control narratives, alarm philosophies, loop drawings, P&IDs and work packages
