Qventus, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Data Science team in Ottawa.

You will develop and deploy cutting-edge ML and NLP solutions, and operationalize algorithms with fellow data scientists and product teams to improve healthcare outcomes. You'll build scalable models, perform rigorous experiments, and work with clinicians and data engineers to translate insights into deployed products.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in developing and tuning LLM systems.
• 3+ years building ML systems in production at scale.
• Hands-on data engineering: cleaning, pipelines, Python/SQL.
• Strong coding and software architecture fundamentals.
• Healthcare data or hospital operations background.
• Experience with Databricks, AWS, DBT or equivalent.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in CS/Statistics or related.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy ML models and NLP approaches.
• Evaluate modeling approaches and operationalize algorithms with teams.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data engineers, and product teams.
• Build, refine, and maintain ML systems at scale.
• Design experiments and measure AI impact in healthcare.
• Translate data insights into deployed products.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
