Job summary

ISG Search Inc. seeks an experienced Data Scientist to accelerate analytics adoption across Canadian business units.

The Senior Data Scientist will translate business goals into analytical problems, develop ML/GenAI products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement analytics use cases. Responsibilities include feature engineering, model training/evaluation, prompt engineering for LLMs, and deploying GenAI solutions with AI agents and chatbots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in developing and implementing data science techniques.
• Proficient in Python for data science and GenAI application development.
• Experience with SQL and PySpark to extract/ integrate data from multiple sources.
• Proficiency in ML including supervised and unsupervised models.
• Experience with data transformation and working with structured/unstructured data.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud-native development.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI frameworks and LLM APIs for AI bots with reasoning and tool-use.

Responsibilities

• Translate business goals into analytical problems and select suitable algorithms.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to develop ML/data science products, including GenAI apps.
• Apply descriptive, predictive, and ML methods from design to implementation.
• Focus on feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and prompt engineering for LLMs.
• Design, develop, and deploy GenAI solutions including AI agents and chatbots.
• Research and pilot GenAI technologies and RAG techniques; work with vector databases.
