Job summary

Prenuvo in Vancouver is seeking a Senior AI Applied Scientist II to own an LLM/agent model domain end-to-end. You’ll work at the intersection of deep learning, medical imaging, and clinical translation, delivering production-ready models with rigorous validation and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes experimental design, data quality standards, and collaboration across clinical, annotation, and ML Engineering teams, with a hybrid work setup in Vancouver.

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials with a publication record in ML/NLP.
• Minimum 4 years ML/NLP experience with top-venue publications or equivalent applied work.
• Expert-level PyTorch and proficiency with modern fine-tuning libraries.
• Hands-on experience in LLM fine-tuning, alignment, and evaluation.
• Experience with agentic AI architectures and tool integration.
• Ability to own LLM/model domain end-to-end and collaborate跨 teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end fine-tuning of LLMs on clinical text, radiology reports, and patient histories.
• Design, deploy, and operationalize autonomous AI agent systems with multi-step reasoning.
• Establish automated and human-in-the-loop NLP evaluation frameworks for safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate on multimodal systems linking imaging models with LLMs and structured data.
• Own experiment design and validation studies with rigorous benchmarks.
• Drive data quality standards and clinical framing in collaboration with medical experts.
• Partner with ML Engineering, Product, and Clinical Ops to raise code quality and reuse architectures.
• Deliver production-ready models with validation, sign-off, and monitoring benchmarks.
