The Data Practices Office within the Department of Administration seeks a Data Practices Policy Analyst to analyze, interpret, and advise on state and federal information policy laws. You will deliver educational programs, assist with data challenge appeals, and participate in evaluating proposed legislation.

The role supports hybrid telework up to 50% and requires strong policy and writing skills. Open to applicants with JD and relevant experience, with senior or principal level postings

Formación

• JD required for Senior/Principal roles.
• Two years of experience providing guidance, consultation, or training on legal topics.
• Advanced degrees may substitute for experience as described.
• Experience interpreting data protection and open meetings laws preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze, research, and interpret state and federal information policy laws.
• Provide legal advice to government and public partners.
• Prepare and deliver educational programs on data practices.
• Draft orders and participate in data challenge appeal process.
• Evaluate proposed legislation as part of the role.
