Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Senior Advisor, Data Governance to establish and operationalize its data governance framework, enhancing data quality, security and value across the organization.

The role collaborates with business units, IT, cybersecurity and data owners to define policies, standards and controls for corporate data management and to promote a data-driven culture focused on data quality and value creation.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT, Information Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance, information management, analytics, or related discipline.
• Experience defining or applying governance policies, standards, or processes is a significant asset.
• Experience working with multiple business units in a complex environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Catalogs, Information Classification & Protection and Data Lifecycle Management

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of the company’s data governance framework.
• Develop, review, and evolve policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for data management.
• Define roles and responsibilities for data owners, data stewards, and data consumers.
• Establish and maintain data governance processes including classification, quality, security, retention, and access management.
• Ensure consistency of governance practices across business units.
