Job summary

Farm Credit Canada is seeking a Senior Data Developer to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines that support FCC's enterprise data needs. You will write clean, maintainable code and communicate complex concepts to developers, analysts and business partners.

As part of a foundational data team, you will work with AWS services to enable reliable data movement and integration, contributing to improved pipeline reliability and development standards in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline.
6+ years of related software development experience.
Hands-on experience with AWS data technologies and cloud-based data platforms.
Strong SQL and one or more programming/scripting languages used in data development (Python, PySpark, Java).
Experience troubleshooting complex data, integration, pipeline or infra issues in production.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain data pipelines and data processing solutions.
Support and improve cloud-based data infrastructure and production pipelines.
Troubleshoot complex data and performance issues; lead root-cause analysis.
Analyze requirements and translate into secure, maintainable data solutions.
Contribute to code reviews, testing, and Agile practices.
Provide informal technical leadership and coaching.
