Job summary

FCC Canada is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and maintain data pipelines within our AWS data ecosystem. You’ll move information from source systems through the raw vault, business vault and reporting layers, ensuring trusted data is available for decision making.

You’ll collaborate with analysts, product teams and stakeholders, provide technical leadership, mentor teammates and help advance our development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data solutions or data engineering.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines.
• Experience integrating third-party solutions into AWS pipelines.
• Experience with AWS services or similar cloud data platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring developers and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support data solutions across raw vault, business vault and reporting layers (Medallion Architecture).
• Translate business, data and reporting requirements into reliable, scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop and support reporting, analytics and visualization capabilities using tools such as AWS QuickSight.
• Collaborate with analysts, product teams and stakeholders to ensure trusted data for reporting and decision-making.
• Troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing data solutions with focus on performance, quality, security and reliability.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation and continuous improvement practices within the team.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members.
