Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant in Toronto to lead cost intelligence across complex infrastructure programs. You will partner with Program Controls, oversee budgets, and deliver proactive risk mitigation and strategic cost analysis for senior stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years of cost management experience in large-scale projects, professional credentials, and strong EVMS and financial analysis skills.

Qualifications

• . Degree in quantity surveying, cost management, project management, or related discipline.
• . 10+ years managing costs on large-scale infrastructure or construction programs.
• . Professional credential (CCP, PQS, MRICS, or equivalent) preferred.
• . Demonstrated expertise in Earned Value Management, financial analysis, and risk assessment within complex, multi-project environments.
• . Strong proficiency with cost management software and MS Office suite.
• . Proven ability to synthesize cost data across programs and deliver strategic financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
• . Working knowledge of program controls and how cost, schedule, scope, and risk interconnect.

Responsibilities

• Drive accurate and timely cost intelligence across program dimensions and budgets to enable informed decision-making at all levels.
• Partner with Program Controls to identify and mitigate cost and schedule risks and develop contingency strategies.
• Maintain rigorous oversight of expenditures against budgets and contractual obligations, identifying optimization opportunities.
• Leverage Earned Value Management methodologies for analysis and executive reporting.
• Validate integrity of cost data including labor allocations and expenses, coordinating adjustments with Finance.
• Mentor and develop team members within the cost management discipline.
