Job summary

Astera Labs is seeking a Senior Tools Development Engineer to shape the COSMOS platform. You will build GUI and CLI interfaces, desktop apps, and automation tools that empower customers and engineers to configure, monitor, and validate products.

You will work across software, firmware, and hardware, using C#, C, C++, and Python, to create scalable tooling and improve developer productivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C#, C, C++, and Python.
• Experience building modern object-oriented software.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain COSMOS Explorer (GUI) and COSMOS CLI for configuring, monitoring, and debugging products.
• Develop desktop apps, command-line utilities, and automation tools using C#, C, C++, and Python.
• Build software that communicates with Astera Labs silicon for telemetry and product configuration.
• Design reusable frameworks and utilities to boost engineering productivity.
• Create automated testing and validation tools to improve quality and speed releases.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, validation, and product teams to evolve the COSMOS platform.
