Job summary

Eclipse Automation in Cambridge, Ontario is seeking a Senior NVIDIA Omniverse Developer to design, build, test, and scale Omniverse-based tools for industrial automation. You will work hands-on across Python, C++, OpenUSD, Omniverse Kit, and simulation workflows.

The ideal candidate brings proven Omniverse experience, strong software engineering discipline, and the ability to connect 3D environments to real engineering data.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, Omniverse Kit, OpenUSD or related real-time 3D platforms.
• Strong Python development skills with maintainable apps or automation workflows.
• Strong C++ development for performance-sensitive components and SDK integration.
• Familiarity with OpenUSD concepts (stages, layers, schemas, assets).
• Experience building developer-facing or user-facing tools (panels, plugins, or connectors).
• Background in 3D, simulation, robotics, or digital twins with spatial data awareness.
• Systems integration mindset connecting software to APIs, data sources, or hardware.
• Strong software engineering discipline: Git, testing, debugging, documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build Omniverse Kit applications and extensions for industrial use.
• Advance OpenUSD foundation with schemas and asset conventions.
• Develop engineering data connectors to integrate with PDM and robotics software.
• Support simulation and virtual commissioning across PLCs and robot programs.
• Create Omniverse-based digital twins of equipment and layouts.
• Build UI/UX for engineering users to access advanced Omniverse capabilities.
• Enable XR/immersive workflows for remote collaboration and training.
• Integrate robotics and automation technologies with external APIs and hardware.
