Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver major building projects from planning through to handover. Based in Richmond, BC, the role requires traveling to sites and the ability to work remotely from a home office as project needs dictate.

You will lead proposals, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities while ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering or relevant field.
10+ years’ leadership experience in a construction company.
Proven track record of managing major projects >$100M.
Experience with major bids and JV partnerships.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP, PlanGrid.

Responsibilities

Lead proposal responses with Marketing and team support.
Manage pre-construction activities and ensure objective alignment.
Oversee construction management including schedules, cost control, and safety compliance.
Lead meetings with Client/Owner representative and track RFIs, changes and risks.
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and contract terms.
Mentor junior staff and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
