Bird Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead, direct and coordinate daily project management for industrial construction initiatives. The role oversees cost, schedule, quality, and team development, with rotation between site and office.

Candidates should bring 10 years in industrial construction, strong leadership, and experience managing large projects, with budgeting and subcontract administration skills.

Qualifications

  • 10 years experience within Industrial Construction projects.
  • PMP and GSC an asset.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Project Management and Estimating with a focus on industrial.
  • Direct experience with a General Contractor or organization heavily involved in projects at the construction phase.
  • 5 years’ experience in a leadership role on construction sites and/or managing operations.
  • Operational budgeting experience an asset.
  • Advanced MS Office, Excel skills.
  • Experience in managing projects in excess of $100 million.

  • Administration and management of prime contract and subcontracts; includes negotiation and awarding of subcontracts and evaluation of subcontractor performance.
  • Manage project budget and billings and work with accounting to ensure timely payment of A/R and A/P.
  • Review and analysis of costs and identify revenue opportunities.
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting on financial and overall performance of project to Senior Management.
  • Foster and maintain positive relations with clients, consultants, architects and subcontractors.

Construction Project Manager

The Construction Project Manager leads, directs and coordinates the daily management of the assigned project(s). This leadership position is accountable for the overall performance of the project including costs, schedule, quality, project status, and adherence to company policies and procedures. More importantly, the Construction Project Manager will manage a successful team and help develop future construction professionals. This position will be rotational between site & office.

What You Will Be Working On

What We Are Looking For
