Job summary

Cabco Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Cable Technician to join our Atlantic Canada team. You will install, troubleshoot, and integrate structured cabling and security systems for commercial clients while mentoring junior technicians on site.

You will lead projects, coordinate with project teams, provide on-site and remote training, travel regionally, and ensure safety and documentation compliance. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience installing and supporting structured cabling systems.
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms is a strong asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift equipment and work in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and integrate structured cabling and security solutions for commercial clients.
  • Collaborate with project teams to design and deploy customized solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing hands-on guidance and support in structured cabling, CCTV, intrusion alarms, access control, and telecommunications technologies.
  • Deliver customer training and technical support both remotely and on-site.
  • Lead job site activities when required, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Travel to customer locations throughout the region as required.
  • Participate in occasional evening, overnight, and weekend work based on project requirements.
  • Complete project documentation and maintain accurate service records.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
