As a strong Commissioning Electrician or Instrumentation technician, you hold the power to troubleshoot and tackle onsite activities like calibrations and verifications. Responsibilities

• Commissioning and start‑up of equipment.
• Perform emergency troubleshooting of power distribution systems.
• Perform highly complex service upgrades, reconditioning, and retrofits for low‑voltage power distribution products and systems.
• Provide expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff and train newer employees; experienced at performing mechanical maintenance, overhaul, and reassembly of medium and low voltage circuit breakers.
• Utilize electrical test sets to perform tests such as AC and DC High Potential testing, Transformer Turns Ratio testing, Power Factor testing, primary current injection, resistance testing, and thermal scans on medium and low voltage electrical systems.
• Familiar with Arc Flash and Shock Hazards and can work safely in low, medium, and high voltage substations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of commissioning experience.
• Technology Diploma, Journeyman certificate, NCCER certification (or equivalent), or NETA certified.
• Contractor licenses are an additional plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend written materials, drawings, and instructions.
• Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions Software.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed technical reports.
• Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Sharp eye for detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to travel.
• Relevant certifications in First Aid/CPR, H2S Awareness, Defensive Driving, OSHA 10, Fall Protection, and Aerial Lift / Elevated Work Platform.
• Familiarity with electrical engineering, design, and construction processes is desirable.
