Qualifications

• 10+ years of commissioning experience required.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions Software.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed technical reports.
• MS Office (Word, Excel) proficiency.
• Willingness to travel.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certifications in First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, Defensive Driving, WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, and Aerial Lift / Elevated Work Platform.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and start-up of various equipment.
• Perform emergency troubleshooting of power distribution systems.
• Provide expert advice and training to support staff.
• Provide training and technical support to staff; train new employees.
• Conduct tests: AC/DC Hipotential, Transformer Turns Ratio, Power Factor, primary current injection, resistance tests, thermal scans.
• Work safely around low, medium, and high voltage substations and Arc Flash hazards.

Daily Tasks

• Commissioning and start‑up of equipment
• Perform emergency troubleshooting of power distribution systems
• Perform highly complex service upgrades, reconditioning, retrofits, etc. for its low‑voltage power distribution products and systems
• Provide expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff and train newer employees. Experienced at performing mechanical maintenance, overhaul and reassembly of medium and low voltage circuit breakers
• Experienced at utilizing electrical test sets to perform tests such as AC and DC High Potential testing, Transformer Turns Ratio testing, Power Factor testing, primary current injection, resistance testing, thermal scans on medium and low voltage electrical systems
• Familiar with the Arc Flash and Shock Hazards and able to work safely in low, medium, and high voltage substations

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of commissioning experience
• Journeyman Electrician certificate is required
• The ability to read and comprehend written materials, drawings, and instructions
• Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions Software
• Proficiency in preparing detailed technical reports
• Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel)
• An unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• A sharp eye for detail
• A valid driver’s licenseEligible to work in Canada
• A willingness to travel
• Relevant certifications in First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, Defensive Driving, WHMIS 2015, CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, and Aerial Lift / Elevated Work Platform
• Familiarity with electrical engineering, design, and construction processes are desirable
