CEMG is a leading digital publisher and international awards & events company showcasing the very best of entrepreneurs. We have expanded our commercial sales division into North America and are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to drive revenue growth, develop client relationships, and contribute to the long-term success of Elite Franchise Canada.
This is an opportunity to lead from the front, establishing our brand within a new market while building a high-performing sales team as the division grows.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities within the franchising sector.
- Target franchisors, suppliers, brokers and consultants that serve the industry.
- Proactively reach out to warm connections and initiate new relationships via social channels, outbound outreach, and industry events.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches and write effective proposals tailored to client needs.
- Lead negotiations and close deals, leveraging flexible sales strategies to secure new business.
Revenue Growth & KPI Management
- Achieve monthly revenue targets by cross-selling media products (digital, events, sponsorships).
- Generate new leads and maintain a high volume of virtual and in-person client meetings.
- Develop long-term relationships with C-suite decision-makers and marketing teams.
Market & Brand Education
- Overcome the challenge of entering a new division by educating prospects on the benefits of our digital publishing platform and event opportunities.
- Position CEMG as a key player in the franchising industry.
Team & Product Development
- Initially an individual contributor, with the opportunity to recruit, train, and manage additional staff as the division scales.
- Work closely with management to develop and bring new media products to market.
Travel & Client Engagement
- Attend national industry events, conferences, and client meetings to build and strengthen relationships nationwide.
- International travel when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of media sales experience (B2B preferred), selling to board-level executives and media agencies.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and generating new business.
- Experience in negotiation and closing high-value deals, with the ability to craft effective proposals.
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills – managing multiple campaigns, clients, and sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Industry experience in digital publishing and events is an advantage but not essential (full training provided).
- Familiarity with HubSpot CRM is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as part of the role.
