Job summary

Smile Digital Health is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Automation) to design, build, operate, and improve production-grade automation. You will own build and release engineering, manage Terraform and Helm in Azure, and provision on-demand environments.

The role emphasizes automated recovery, policy-as-code, and AI-assisted engineering in a fast-moving healthcare data platform. You will collaborate with Platform Engineering, Solution Engineering, and Service Operations to reduce manual work, optimize

Qualifications

6+ years of hands-on cloud engineering, DevOps or platform engineering with IaC and CI/CD on Azure.
Post-secondary education in CS/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Deep knowledge of Terraform, Helm and Azure DevOps pipelines, plus GitOps delivery.

Responsibilities

Own build and release engineering by consolidating Azure DevOps pipelines into reusable templates.
Automate environment provisioning, patching, rotation of secrets, and disaster recovery processes.
Implement GitOps-based continuous delivery with declarative deployments and drift detection.
Automate end-to-end environments across Azure services and applications.
Contribute to AI-enabled tooling and automate guardrails and security scans in pipelines.
