Job summary

Northbridge Financial is seeking a Senior Claims Technical Specialist to join a dynamic Casualty and Litigation team focused on complex claims across Auto, CGL, D&O, E&O, and Cyber liability. You will investigate efficiently, assess coverage, and coordinate with third parties and counsel to move claims toward resolution.

The role emphasizes training, mentorship, and delivering clear decisions under pressure, with hybrid work options and a comprehensive Total Rewards program including health

Qualifications

• JD/LLB preferred, or applicable legal principles related to complex insurance claims handling
• Minimum 10 years of liability claim handling experience
• Experience with E&O, D&O, and Cyber Liability claims
• Experience with commercial lines is an asset

What it's like to be a Northbridge Senior Claims Technical Specialist:

As a Senior Claims Technical Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that prides itself on having a sharp eye on detail while keeping the customer experience top of mind. The Casualty and Litigation team handle a variety of claim across several lines of business, including Auto, CGL, Directors' and Officers', and Professional Liability claims.

Our Senior Claims Technical Specialist are responsible for providing efficient and prompt investigation, assessing coverage liability, and damages while working directly with third parties and counsel to drive the claim to conclusion.

If you are great at:

• Adjudicating complex claims, including files in litigation
• Confirming coverage and completing a liability investigation
• Preparing file summaries for internal reporting, large loss, and reinsurance
• Managing stressful calls and clearly deliver decisions on claims
• Provide training to new hires through job shadowing sessions
• Support and mentor other adjusters on the team
• Effectively managing a busy day to day schedule
• Providing a great Customer experience

And you have:

• Juris Doctor (JD/LLB) degree is preferred, and/or applicable experience with legal principles as they relate to complex insurance claims handling
• A minimum of 10 years of liability claim handling experience
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience handling Errors & Omissions (E&O), Directors & Officers (D&O), and Cyber Liability claims.
• Experience with commercial lines an asset

We're committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000, which reflects the expected base pay - not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position.
