Job summary

Moffatt & Nichol seeks a Civil Project Manager for the Owner's Engineer team in Vancouver, BC. You will lead technical oversight for large-scale marine infrastructure including dredging, land reclamation, and wharf construction.

The role requires 15–20 years of marine civil experience, strong cost estimating, scheduling, and risk assessment capabilities, with a focus on cross-disciplinary coordination and client interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation preferred (or PE with ability to apply for P.Eng.).
• 15–20 years of marine civil infrastructure experience (rock work, dredging, land reclamation).
• Experience with Owner's Engineer workflows and Design-Build submittals review/acceptance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with MS Project and cost-estimating tools such as HCSS HeavyBid.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary interface between client, engineering teams, Design-Builder, and external agencies.
• Lead interdisciplinary integration reviews of Design-Build deliverables for technical consistency.
• Provide Senior Technical Review focusing on constructability, risk, and design intent.
• Oversee environmental/regulatory compliance within technical design packages.
• Coordinate key technical workstreams to mitigate land reclamation and wharf interface risks.
• Monitor budgets and contracting strategies; assist in document prep and evaluation.
• Attend in-person meetings and site visits as required.
