Job summary

Carlson Construction Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex heavy civil and marine projects from inception to completion in North Vancouver, BC. You will drive safety, schedule, cost control, and client relations while mentoring emerging leaders.

Ideal candidates have 8–10+ years in heavy civil/marine PM, strong contract and cost-management skills, and a degree in civil engineering or related field. EGBC/ASTTBC eligibility is required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Registered or eligible for registration with EGBC or ASTTBC.
• Minimum 8–10+ years of progressive project management experience in heavy civil/marine/infrastructure.
• Experience with subcontractors, cost control, scheduling, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex heavy civil and marine projects.
• Direct, organize, and control all phases of project operations.
• Develop and optimize schedules to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.
• Manage project financial performance including budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare and administer contracts, change orders, and revisions.
• Oversee billing, documentation, and project reporting with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with the operations and business development teams.
