Job summary

MyGreat Recruitment Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager/Senior Project Manager for marine and heavy civil work in Greater Vancouver and British Columbia.

You will lead projects from pre-construction through completion, overseeing budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining strong client relationships. You will coordinate field teams, subs, suppliers and consultants, review contracts, manage changes and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil, marine, infrastructure or related environments.
• Proven experience managing projects from pre-construction through execution, closeout and turnover.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost control and contract administration skills.
• Experience coordinating field teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, schedules and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil and marine construction projects from initial planning through completion.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance.
• Coordinate project teams, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client representatives.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts and technical documentation to identify risks and requirements.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, progress billings and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs, productivity, schedule performance and emerging commercial risks.
• Support procurement of subcontractors, equipment and materials.
• Work with field leadership to develop constructible execution plans.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with regulations.

Project Manager / Senior Project Manager - Marine & Heavy Civil

Join an established heavy civil and marine contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across Greater Vancouver and remote locations throughout British Columbia. This role is suited to an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager who can lead projects from pre-construction through completion while managing commercial performance, field execution, client relationships and multidisciplinary project teams.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of project management experience within heavy civil, marine, infrastructure, piling, foundations or other complex self-perform construction environments.
• Proven experience managing construction projects from pre-construction through execution, closeout and turnover.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills including budgets, forecasting, cost control, change management and contract administration.
• Experience coordinating field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients on technically complex construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, schedules and contractual requirements.
• Ability to work from the Greater Vancouver Area and travel to project sites across British Columbia as required.

Nice to Haves

• Experience delivering marine infrastructure, ports, terminals, bridges, deep foundations, piling, earthworks or waterfront construction.
• Experience working on major infrastructure projects involving cranes, barges, marine equipment or significant self-perform construction.
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• P.Eng., EIT, PMP, Gold Seal or other relevant professional designation.
