Amico, a leading Canadian-owned construction company in Ontario, is seeking an experienced Estimator for heavy civil infrastructure projects in Mississauga. You will manage the full estimating lifecycle, from bid documents to handoff, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in construction estimating, proficiency with HeavyBid and Primavera P6, and strong technical writing and bid development skills.

Competenze

• Post secondary degree/diploma/certificate in Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience with estimating heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with HeavyBid estimating software is preferred.
• Understanding of construction schedules and Primavera P6 is an asset.
• Strong technical writing and proposal development skills.
• Excellent communication and subcontractor coordination abilities.

Mansioni

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for heavy civil construction projects across the full estimating lifecycle.
• Review project specs, drawings and documents to determine scope and constructability.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for electrical and specialized scopes.
• Develop and write technical proposals and bid documentation.
• Support bid packages and internal reviews with clear technical writing.
• Analyze project schedules to understand cost impacts and resource needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate cost assumptions and bid strategies.
• Lead project meetings and contribute to lessons learned from bids.
