Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering or construction.
• 12+ years civil construction experience focusing on transportation infrastructure (roads, bridges, rail).
• 5+ years estimating experience.
• Project management and field experience is an asset.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team through a bid process for large, complex projects.
• Review drawings and tender documents to understand scope of work and submission requirements.
• Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-build.
• Prepare reports and lead executive bid review meetings.
• Review schedule for accuracy and determine production rates.
• Negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Maintain databases of labour rates, material pricing and project costs.
