The role requires five years as a chef in catering, plus at least three years in leadership. Expect travel within Canada, evenings/weekends as needed, and collaborative teamwork to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of Chef experience with a strong catering background.
• Three years of leadership experience.
• Ability to manage high-volume catering projects and meals daily.
• Creative ability to apply current food trends to menus and service operations.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Able to travel within Canada and between sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure catering food execution is flawless.
• Develop positive client relationships and ensure client satisfaction with service and menu options.
• Demonstrate creativity with menus and knowledge of latest trends while following Healthy Eating Guidelines.
• Follow all H&S policies and HACCP.
• Oversee staff in stations and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with Compass QA and Health & Safety Programs, OHSA and WHMIS.
• Coordinate regular workplace inspections and WHMIS training; report incidents.
