Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Chef Manager to lead culinary operations, plan menus, and manage on-site catering while ensuring client satisfaction. The role requires hands-on cooking support and strong leadership to develop team members in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of culinary experience, supervisory skills, and proficiency in French, with strong financial management capabilities and experience using Word/Excel for operational tasks.

Qualifications

• Two years of culinary experience and supervisory ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Strong knowledge of controlling food and labour costs.
• Excellent communication in French; proficient in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of food preparation, menu planning, and development.
• Directly manage associates and ensure on-site catering execution.
• Maintain compliance with Compass QA, Health and Safety, WHMIS, HACCP.
• Oversee BOH/FOH operations and assist chefs as needed.
• Inventory and ordering management.
