Job summary

Corporate Compass Group Canada is seeking an Executive Chef in Ontario to lead catering operations and deliver exceptional service. You will manage menu development, client relationships, and team supervision across multiple sites. This role requires leadership, creativity in menus, and strict adherence to safety standards, including HACCP and WHMIS.

Travel within Canada is expected as needed. Salary ranges from CAD 55,000 to 65,000, with additional total compensation elements and benefits;

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of Chef experience with strong catering background and three years of leadership.
• ServSafe and Allergen Awareness certificates required.
• Experience managing high-volume catering projects; ability to prepare large quantities daily.
• Creative ability to apply current food trends to menus and operations.
• Passionate about quality and customer service.
• Detail-oriented and a strong team player.
• Good client relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Able to travel within Canada.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure catering food execution is flawless.
• Develop positive client relationships and ensure satisfaction with service and menu options.
• Demonstrate creativity with menus and current trends while following Healthy Eating Guidelines.
• Follow all H&S policies and HACCP.
• Oversee staff in their stations and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas.
• Ensure compliance with Compass QA, Health & Safety, OHSA and WHMIS.
• Coordinate inspections and WHMIS training; report incidents.
