Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or ACOT-recognized equivalent.
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Experience conducting comprehensive assessments of activities of daily living.
• Ability to collaborate with residents to identify goals and provide tailored interventions.
• Experience coordinating with families, acute care teams, and community resources (e.g., AADL, equipment vendors, seating clinics).
• Maintaining detailed healthcare records and resident-centered care plans.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license for travel to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of activities of daily living in line with Bethany Care's policies.
• Coordinate with families, acute care teams, and community resources to support residents in achieving goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation in healthcare records and care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic resident care.
• Provide leadership within the OT Assistant team and align with Bethany Care’s mission.
