Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Global Payroll Operations team and lead payroll delivery for Canadian EOR customers. The role requires deep Canadian payroll knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on controls, documentation, and scalability.

You will own complex payroll processes, mentor payroll specialists, and partner with Product and Engineering to improve the EOR payroll experience. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Expert-level understanding of Canadian payroll and tax compliance.
• 5+ years of experience in Canadian payroll or payroll operations.
• Significant experience managing end-to-end payroll processing and complex escalations.
• Experience with EOR or multi-country payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Own complex Canada EOR payroll processing including inputs, approvals, corrections, off-cycle payments, and post-payroll review.
• Serve as senior escalation point and payroll tax SME for EOR customers across provinces; resolve complex inquiries end-to-end.
• Create, review, and validate payroll inputs, pay types, and configurations to ensure correct tax treatment across jurisdictions.
• Advise customers and internal teams on Canadian payroll requirements and interpret legislative changes.
