Rippling in Canada is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its Global Payroll Operations team and support Canada-based EOR payroll. You will own core payroll processes, address inquiries, and ensure compliance with CRA/Revenu Québec.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a client-facing payroll role in Canada.
• Experience supporting end-to-end payroll operations for Canada.
• Strong understanding of CPP/QPP, EI, QPIP, TD1s and year-end outputs.
• Excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills.
• French language proficiency (C1/C2).

Responsibilities

• Respond to EOR customers’ payroll and tax inquiries across provinces.
• Advise customers on Canadian payroll requirements (CPP/QPP, EI, QPIP, tax withholdings, pensions RRSPs).
• Own and advise on key components of Canada payroll processing (inputs, approvals, corrections, off-cycle payments).
• Manage payroll calendars, cutoffs, readiness, and timelines for the region.
• Resolve customer cases end-to-end including CRA/Revenu Québec communications.
• Create, review and validate pay types, earnings, deductions, benefits and leave payments with correct tax treatment.
• Liaise with CRA, Revenu Québec and other agencies; reconcile payroll outputs and tax amounts.
• Document SOPs and create knowledge articles to improve accuracy and scalability.
