Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join a team building complex engineering software for large-scale infrastructure projects. You will own features from design through development, testing, and production support, and mentor other developers.

The role requires 8+ years of experience with C++ and C#, strong OO design, and a track record of delivering production software. 3 days/week onsite in Quebec City with desktop app development and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on development experience with C++ AND C#.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience building complex, production-level software applications.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Ability to take technical ownership of features from design through delivery.
• Experience with code reviews and mentoring other developers.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Able to work 3 days/week onsite in Quebec City.
• Experience developing desktop applications or engineering/design software.
• Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and related Microsoft technologies.
• JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Cloud-connected applications or service-oriented architecture.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
