Akkodis Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong Guidewire expertise to support PolicyCenter and BillingCenter Cloud implementations in a hybrid role based in Downtown Toronto, ON. You will bridge business needs with technical execution, collaborating across product, development, QA, and business teams in an Agile environment.

The role requires 5+ years in business systems analysis, Guidewire Cloud certifications, and proven experience with requirements

About this opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong Guidewire expertise to support PolicyCenter and BillingCenter Cloud implementations and enhancements. In this role, you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements while ensuring successful delivery of business and system solutions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging business needs and technical execution, facilitating collaboration across product, development, QA, and business teams within an Agile delivery environment.

What You’ll Do:

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Lead end-to-end business analysis activities, including requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder sessions to gather and refine business and system requirements.
• Develop and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and related artifacts.
• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure business requirements are clearly understood and translated into actionable solutions.

Guidewire Delivery & Solution Support

• Support Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter Cloud implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and platform capabilities.
• Participate in solution discussions, requirements reviews, and implementation planning activities.
• Act as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

• Manage and track timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and project milestones.
• Coordinate with product owners, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to support successful project execution.
• Communicate project progress, risks, issues, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration across cross-functional and distributed teams.

Agile Delivery & Testing Support

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including planning, coordination, defect tracking, and validation.
• Assist with release readiness and implementation activities.
• Ensure delivered functionality aligns with documented business requirements.

What You Bring:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Systems Consultant.
• Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter Cloud Certification.
• Proven experience supporting Guidewire implementations, enhancements, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technology teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.
• Experience with policy administration and billing systems.
• Familiarity with rating engines, pricing platforms, and insurance product configuration.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe delivery frameworks.
• Exposure to Guidewire Cloud integration projects and modernization initiatives.
