What is the opportunity?
You will be responsible for leading business analysis activities on medium to large projects within RBC Digital. The role requires demonstrated advanced knowledge and the ability to apply competencies in new or complex situations, guiding other professionals.
The role involves the execution of all aspects of requirements delivery—planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, management, and support.
What will you do?
- Perform stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and requirements responsibilities.
- Develop plans and accurate estimates for requirements completion, continuously improving detail and accuracy.
- Lead Agile ceremonies alongside the Product Owner.
- Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints, communicating to relevant parties.
- Facilitate collaborative sessions with diverse business stakeholders to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review.
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation following enterprise standards in Confluence.
- Prepare requirements for review, applying various communication techniques, and lead walkthroughs.
- Collaborate with Product, Strategy, and UI/UX teams to design and build application UI pages.
- Support requirements, build, and testing phases with developers and QA teams.
- Apply advanced coverage analysis techniques to ensure scope, requirements, and testing are aligned through to implementation.
- Provide consulting services on new initiatives.
- Continuously enhance skills and organizational knowledge.
- Guide and support junior Business Analysts.
Must-have skills:
- 8-10+ years of professional BA/BSA experience in Agile environments, with expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and planning.
- Industry knowledge/experience in Banking, Investments, Personal Finance, or Wealth Management.
- Experience in client-facing web application development, preferably from a major financial institution.
- Proven Agile methodology experience.
- Strong skills in requirements analysis and documentation, including scope modeling, business process modeling, data requirements, and user stories.
- Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders and facilitating large meetings.
- Strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Deep knowledge of requirements documentation and modeling tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA/Confluence, Mural, Figma).
Nice-to-have:
- RBC BA/BSA Curriculum Certificate.
- Masters Certificate in Business Analysis.
- Experience in enterprise and mobile projects.
- API testing experience with Postman.
- Knowledge of Accessibility standards (AODA, WCAG 2.0/2.1).
