Job summary

Manulife is seeking an experienced lead for the Business Systems Analysis function to drive process re-engineering, automation and data transformation in Treasury Operations. You will partner with Global Treasury Cash Operations and technology teams to deliver effective tech-enabled solutions and high-quality service.

You will proactively identify automation opportunities using Gen AI and low-code tools, acting as SME across Treasury Operations and BU teams, while managing small-to-medium

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years leading a business systems analysis function
• Hands-on experience collaborating with technology teams to build solutions
• Exposure to Gen AI/Agentic AI based solutions
• Experience with citizen developer tools (Power Apps, Power BI, Alteryx)
• Experience creating reporting dashboards (EDL) and translating business needs into tech specs
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and work in a fast-changing environment

Job description

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide Business Systems Analysis function by working closely with Global Treasury Cash Operations and technology teams to support process re-engineering, automation, data transformation, system enhancements, configuration, testing, implementation, and production support. Define and refine business requirements and technical specifications to deliver effective technology-enabled solutions that meet business needs.
• Closely work with the technology teams to explain and clarify the technical specifications and rationale to help create solutions that would meet business needs.
• Proactively identify, plan and execute automation opportunities leveraging Gen AI, Agentic AI and other low code tools (Power platform, Alteryx etc.)
• Act as SME and Consultant to Treasury Operations and BU teams to identify opportunities to address business issues and alignment with Treasury strategies
• Communicate effectively to all levels of the management to report project status and critical issues requiring their attention
• Create and maintain thorough and accurate project documentation (including functional and technical design specifications) according to the project management methodologies
• Lead testing by preparing required test plans/matrices and executing functional and system integration testing of the application
• Project manage small to medium initiatives (as required) according to the established project management methodologies
• Support ad-hoc analysis to identify root cause of production problems and develop timely solutions
• Steady state maintenance and enhancement of existing production tools / processes
• Interact professionally with clients and business areas to provide a high quality of service.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in leadership role supporting business systems analysis function involving process re-engineering, transformation, and automation
• Hands‑on experience working with technology teams for developing system solutions
• Exposure to and/or working knowledge of Gen AI and Agentic AI based solutions
• Experience with citizen developer tools like Power Apps, Power BI, or Alteryx
• Sound exposure to working with EDL and creating reporting dashboards
• Capability to independently learn new systems / technology
• Exceptional analytical, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills
• Able to translate issues and problems into effective business solutions
• Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast‑changing environment
• Aptitude to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks and manage ambiguity
• Strong organizational skills (ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks with competing priorities)
• Comfortable analyzing and organizing large volumes of data

Salary range is expected to be between

$73,725.00 CAD - $122,875.00 CAD
