Job summary

Compass Group Canada seeks an experienced Senior Business Analyst to drive enterprise initiatives across finance, operations and technology. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in a Business Analyst or Senior BA role.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases for enterprise applications.
• Proven experience in data-driven projects and data analysis.
• Experience on integration projects involving multiple systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI for reporting and insights.
• Agile/Scrum delivery environments (Azure DevOps).
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking.
• Data analysis using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, or similar tools.
• Experience documenting business processes with Visio or similar tools.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise initiatives across finance, operations, and technology. This role will be responsible for end-to-end requirements management, testing activities, and data analysis, with a strong focus on cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and experience working on large-scale integration and enterprise transformation projects.

Opportunity Overview

• Lead requirements gathering activities including stakeholder interviews, workshops, and documentation.
• Translate business needs into clear, detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows.
• Develop test strategies, write detailed test cases, and support System, UAT, and regression testing.
• Execute testing activities, track defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure resolution.
• Perform data analysis to support business decisions, reporting, and solution validation.
• Read, interpret, and validate data as part of enterprise initiatives, including a large-scale internal back-office modernization initiative.
• Support integration projects involving enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, Finance, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Maintain project and testing artifacts in alignment with SDLC and audit requirements.

• Agile / Scrum delivery environments (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking.
• Data analysis using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake or similar tools.
