Job summary

COWI in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead design and project teams on major North American infrastructure projects, including inspections, evaluations, rehabilitations, and designs. You will manage scope, budgets, and schedules, supervise engineers and technicians, and decide on technical approaches, with opportunities to grow responsibility and expertise.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of related industry experience in Bridge Design and Project Management

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate teams of engineers and technicians, including reviewing the work and coaching staff
• Perform structural analysis, design and evaluation, and prepare calculations, drawings, work plans, schedules and budgets
• Prepare standard documents such as technical specifications and engineering reports
• Research and review design options for technical and financial impact
• Liaise with clients and third parties as needed
• Be familiar with structural design codes (e.g., CHBDC), drafting software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu), and analysis tools (SoFistik, CSiBridge)
