Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Canada is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join the Bridge and Civil Structures team in Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto. You will lead and supervise structural engineers on interdisciplinary projects to design, assess and maintain bridges and heavy civil structures across Canada and beyond.

The role requires 10–15 years of structural engineering and project management, a civil engineering degree, and eligibility for PEng in BC, AB or ON.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of structural engineering and project management experience.
• Professional Engineer in BC, AB or ON, or eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of structures above and below ground from planning through implementation.
• Oversee assessment, rehabilitation and seismic upgrade design of existing structures.
• Coordinate with clients and third parties, and supervise engineers and technical reports.
• Prepare proposals and manage projects to meet schedules and budgets.
• Provide mentoring and set high standards for quality and professionalism.
• Develop new business opportunities as part of growth strategy.
