Job summary

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is seeking a Bilingual Senior Business Partner, Finance to lead financial advisory services, forge strong business partnerships and drive robust financial processes across CMHC's operations.

You will conduct complex financial modelling, develop performance measures, and distill financial needs end-to-end for the finance function, partnering with stakeholders up to senior leadership to enable strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, business administration, economics or commerce.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a finance-related role such as FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Business Analysis, Business Improvement or Commercial Finance.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage several ongoing and competing projects.
• Strong ability to prioritize and work in a multi-demand environment while overseeing the work of other financial professionals with strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Results-oriented team player with strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and a talent for turning complex information into actionable recommendations.
• Proactively anticipates future business needs.
• Written and oral communication skills including presentation skills with the ability to influence multiple levels of stakeholders.
• Bilingualism (English and French).
• MBA or professional designation (CA, CGA, CMA, CPA, CFA) and IFRS experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Foster a business-partnering dynamic, understand both finance and business dimensions and provide proactive analysis and guidance to clients.
• Navigate end-to-end financial requirements and establish robust financial processes that provide business insights for decision-making.
• Lead finance business improvement activities covering processes, system and reporting enhancements.
• Collaborate on development, implementation, standardization and monitoring of performance indicators and targets.
• Provide analysis and advice to optimize client performance for senior management.
• Advise internal clients on business initiatives, guidelines, risk management and financial planning in line with CMHC strategy.
