Job summary

Sardine is seeking a backend-focused Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and services across our engineering teams. You will contribute to large-scale features, improve internal tooling, and help shape product and technical roadmaps in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in web backend development, strong Go skills, and experience with data pipelines and production services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer focused on web backend development.
• Proficiency in Go is a significant advantage.
• Experience in data engineering is highly desirable.
• Track record of delivering high-quality production services and systems.
• Customer-centric mindset with strong user empathy.
• Experience in banking or fintech domains and fraud prevention knowledge.
• Proficient in English, with clear communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain robust backend services to meet evolving needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to architect and implement new services from inception to delivery.
• Develop features and capabilities delivering value to customers.
• Coordinate with engineering and product teams to align efforts.
• Produce and maintain technical docs to facilitate adoption of services.
• Contribute to engineering culture and maintain high standards across the organization.
