Job summary

Affi, a remote-first company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own backend systems at scale and to build data pipelines and measurement foundations for connected growth channels.

You will work with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Data Engineering to ensure consent, tagging, identity, and consumer-data requirements are incorporated from the start, while focusing on data quality, reliability, and scalable design.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience building marketing data and measurement systems (GTM/GA4, CDPs, attribution, APIs).
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow for data pipelines and analytics.
• Ability to define a technical plan for large features with elegant, extensible design.
• Strong code quality and ability to safely implement large changes.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly team goals, guiding engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics through the lifecycle.
• Identify and lead solutions to project, process or technology issues.
• Monitor metrics and support on-call efforts to keep systems live.
• Set and improve code review and design standards across the team.
• Mentor team members with feedback and guidance.
