Job summary

Affirm is reinventing credit, building backend orchestration for auth, verification and fraud journeys. You will own and deliver high-availability, low-latency systems that power customer experiences on web and mobile.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Web/mobile backend patterns such as fraud prevention.
• Ability to define a technical plan for large features.
• Writes high-quality, maintainable code.
• Shows ownership and proactivity in growth.
• Strong verbal and written collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, lead engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design & analytics during lifecycle.
• Identify and lead resolution of project/process issues.
• Support operations and availability of artifacts with metrics and on-call.
• Set and improve code review and design standards.
• Develop talent by providing feedback and guidance.
