MNP is a leading Canadian accounting, tax and advisory firm seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Assurance & Accounting team in Canada. You will deliver tailored financial information and support client decisions with confidence.

Responsibilities include performing compilation, review, and audit engagements, preparing financial statements, walkthrough testing, and mentoring junior staff while traveling as required. CPA designation and 2–4 years of public accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA designation obtained.
• 2–4 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Perform compilation, review, and audit engagements.
• Prepare files for new clients and manage multiple engagements.
• Conduct walkthrough testing of AR, AP, asset acquisitions, disposals, and payroll.
• Summarize client financial position with balance sheet and income statement.
• Evaluate audit evidence for expenses, revenues, assets, payables, and prepaids.
• Review and correct discrepancies in financial records.
• Develop charts of accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare engagement communications and client summaries.
• Build relationships with clients and mentor juniors.
• Participate in business development and travel as required.
