Job summary

Ian Martin Group is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Accounts Receivable in Calgary. The role is full-cycle AR with JD Edwards, requiring proactive leadership and strong interpersonal skills, in a hybrid setup with three days in the office and two at home.

You will manage invoicing, cash application, collections, and reconciliations, driving process improvements while supporting a five-member AR team. Candidates with 3+ years of AR and JDE experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle AR experience including collections
• Recent hands-on JD Edwards (JDE) experience mandatory, especially invoicing and receipts
• Strong AR experience preferred; solid general accounting background acceptable
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal guidance
• Collaborative team player with good integration into an existing team
• Advanced Excel skills; intermediate skills in other Microsoft apps
• Understanding of general accounting principles
• Excellent interpersonal communication and self-motivation
• Nice to have: experience reporting on AR KPIs
• Nice to have: SmartKargo experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and process invoices for multiple entities in JDE with GL coding
• Apply receipts and payments to customer accounts on time
• Investigate and process customer credit/debit memos end to end
• Monitor and reconcile daily cash from multiple sources
• Follow up with customers on delayed payments and resolve disputes
• Liaise with customers to achieve collection targets and maintain relationships
• Coordinate with Sales on collection status and updates
• Prepare documentation for customer credit reviews
• Maintain customer accounts and data integrity
• Perform AR-related month-end tasks and reconciliations
• Manage shared AR mailbox
• Create and update process documentation
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide guidance to other Coordinators and support reporting/projects
