Job summary

Ledcor in Toronto is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to manage full-cycle payroll for salary, hourly, union, and non-union staff across multiple jurisdictions, using JD Edwards (JDE). You will report to the Team Lead, Payroll and bring at least four years of payroll experience and strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation.

You will reconcile remittances, time-entry data from PCS2, InEight and QuickBase, and support process improvements while guiding junior team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-jurisdictional environment.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with payroll ERP systems; JD Edwards is a strong asset.
• Proficiency with Excel and payroll reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll for salary, hourly, union, and non-union employees using JD Edwards.
• Prepare, reconcile, file, and remit monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory payments (CRA, WCB, EHT, etc.).
• Administer payroll reconciliations and journal entries; maintain General Ledger accuracy.
• Coordinate time-entry data with sites; resolve escalated issues across PCS2, InEight, QuickBase.
• Respond to escalated payroll inquiries with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Support system updates and participate in payroll projects and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency and share with leadership.
• Mentor and guide junior Payroll Administrators to build payroll expertise.
